What is the Collections Viewer?

The Library uses the Universal Viewer to display its ingested digital items, across all its websites.

How do I embed the Viewer?

Main website (TYPO3)

For instructions on how to add the viewer to a page on the main website, please contact mynediad.digidol@llyfrgell.cymru

Library Blog (Wordpress)

You can use the embed code tool in the viewer to create a code snippet to add into your blog post. Click on the 'Share' symbol and choose 'Embed' to select a size, and then copy the code.


What tools are there to help me?

Check PID

Not sure if a PID exists or if there is an ingested manifest? You can use this tool to check and it will show you how the manifest looks in the Viewer.

IIIF Image Generator

The IIIF Image Generator will allow you to create and download an image selected from a specific manifest by entering the PID.

IIIF Crop Tool (external)

The IIIF Crop Tool will allow you to enter the URL of a IIIF image and get the URL for the cropped section of the image. Use the form https://damsssl.llgc.org.uk/iiif/2.0/image/PID/full/,1200/0/default.jpg

IIIF Image Manipulation Tool (external)

The IIIF Image Manipulation Tool Create custom images by cropping and re-sizing images for download or linking.
You will need to change the 'imageID' in the URL to relfelct that of the image you want to use e.g. https://jbhoward-dublin.github.io/IIIF-imageManipulation/index.html?imageID=https://damsssl.llgc.org.uk/iiif/2.0/image/PID NOTE the child PID must be used for collections.
